DCCWiki.com now has a hosting presence in London (which accounts for approximately 19% of all DCCWiki traffic). Users in Europe and Africa will automatically be directed to this location. Page load times should drop from an average of 2.3 seconds to 0.4 seconds (timing based on making requests from UK).
While write/save/edit requests are technically posted to the London server, behind-the-scenes magic takes place and routes the actual processing of the request to the Southern California servers. Updates made to the California server are automatically propagated to the Londer server within 1 second (typically 0.5 seconds).
This only applies to DCCWiki.com as DCCTalk.com software is not compatible.
